Description

Disc Springs for Valves, also be known as Belleville Springs for Valves, Belleville Washers for Valves ... Disc springs are widely used in various types of valves such as Ball Valves, Regulating Valves, Globe Valves, Pigging Valves, and Sea Valves. The load of Disc Springs is large with small deflection, they can provide sufficient valve seat sealing force.

The role of the Disc Spring inside the valve is to maintain sufficient contact pressure on the joint. Using Disc Springs Stacks either in series or parallel, obtain the required force and stroke, to meet the needs of each valve. Disc Springs Stacks apply a pressure and absorb the contraction and expansion that may occur due to pressure, temperature, or relaxation.

Depending on the working environment, Disc Springs for Valves can be produced by material such as Inconel750, Inconel718, 17-7PH. These materials have good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, can also provide adaptable working loads under harsh conditions and high temperature environments.

Disc springs are the key part to fix Ball Valve, its performance will directly affect the sealing effect of the valve.

When we design and manufacture Disc Springs for Ball Valves, we should pay attention to the following points.

1. The ratio of OD/ID of Disc Springs for Ball Valves is generally about 1.3, which is far less than 1.8. So the actual increase of Disc Spring load caused by the shortening of lever arm at positions I and III should be considered in the design and calculation.

2. Due to the limitation of Ball Valve installation space, we have to consider in design that, the disc spring must provide suitable pressure in a limited space, furthermore, the sensitivity caused by assembly error (it is almost the same order of magnitude as compression of Belleville Spring) should be reduced.

3. Due to the high rigidity of the disc spring, it is not appropriate to use the control method of force value of the standard disc spring. So the higher manufacturing and quality control level be required for manufacturer.

4. For Disc Springs for Valves, its raw material influence the performance much. In some extreme cases, special customized materials are required to meet the stringent requirements.

5. Due to the above particulars, please consult our engineers Tech@DiscSpringsMFG.com during the preliminary design in order to obtain the optimal design.
