Cryogenic Disc Springs made of Cryogenic resistant material as Inconel 718, 750, Nimonic 90, these disc springs are applied for cryogenic(from -50°C up to +500°C) environment, and ultra cryogenic(from -250°C up to +700°C) environment.
Description
Cryogenic Disc Springs are designed & manufactured according to DIN2092 & DIN2093, GB/T 1972-2005, and ISO 19690. The engineers of HEGONG SPRING ® are pleased to design the Belleville disc springs for the specific applications together with the customer’s R&D department. Be free to contact with our engineers.
Cryogenic Disc Springs are low temperature Belleville disc springs designed to maintain stable load, elasticity and fatigue performance in cryogenic and extreme-temperature environments. HEGONG SPRING manufactures custom cryogenic disc springs using Inconel 718, Inconel 750, Nimonic 90, CuBe2 and other special alloy materials for cryogenic valves, LNG equipment, heat exchangers, boilers, industrial furnaces, cryogenic technology and special chemical applications.
Depending on the material and working conditions, our cryogenic disc springs can be used in temperature ranges from -50℃ to +500℃, and in special extreme-temperature applications from -250℃ to +700℃. They are designed and manufactured according to DIN 2092, DIN 2093, GB/T 1972-2005 and ISO 19690. Standard and custom sizes are available with outer diameters from 6mm to 600mm and thickness from 0.2mm to 24mm.
The engineers of HEGONG SPRING Tech@DiscSpringsMFG.com. can work with the customer’s R&D department to design suitable cryogenic Belleville disc springs according to specific load, deflection, material, temperature and installation requirements. Custom single disc springs and disc spring stacks are available for demanding low-temperature and extreme-temperature applications.
In cryogenic working conditions, ordinary spring materials may become brittle, lose elasticity or fail to maintain stable preload. Cryogenic disc springs are engineered to provide reliable force control in low-temperature and ultra-low-temperature environments, helping equipment maintain sealing, fastening, compensation and safety performance.
Compared with traditional coil springs, cryogenic Belleville springs provide high load capacity in a compact axial space. They are suitable for applications where low temperature, pressure fluctuation, vibration, corrosion and limited installation space must be considered at the same time.
Common applications include:
LNG terminals and pipelines
Cryogenic valves and valve assemblies
Liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen equipment
Aerospace and satellite systems
Cryogenic laboratory equipment
Petrochemical and energy systems
Defense and special low-temperature equipment
Sealing and fastening systems under thermal contraction
Every cryogenic project has different working conditions. HEGONG SPRING provides fully customized cryogenic springs based on your drawings, samples or application requirements.
We can support:
Custom outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness and free height
Custom load and deflection design
Single disc spring or stacked disc spring arrangement
Material selection for low-temperature and corrosive environments
Prototype development based on drawings
Small batch and large-volume production
Engineering support for special working conditions
Whether you need Inconel disc springs, Nimonic 90 springs or other specialty alloy Belleville springs, our team can recommend a suitable solution according to your actual working temperature, installation space and load requirement.
Cryogenic disc springs are widely used in equipment where low temperature causes thermal contraction, preload loss or sealing instability. They help maintain reliable load and compensation performance in compact mechanical assemblies.
| Application | Function of Cryogenic Disc Springs |
|---|---|
| LNG Valves and Pipelines | Maintain sealing preload under low temperature conditions |
| Cryogenic Valve Assemblies | Compensate load loss caused by thermal contraction |
| Aerospace Systems | Provide compact and stable force in low-temperature environments |
| Laboratory Cryogenic Equipment | Support precision load control under cryogenic conditions |
| Petrochemical Equipment | Resist low temperature, corrosion and pressure fluctuation |
| Defense and Special Equipment | Maintain mechanical stability in harsh operating environments |
| Low-Temperature Bolting Systems | Reduce preload loss caused by contraction and relaxation |

Material:
Learn more about MaterialsThe common material for Cryogenic Disc Springs include: 30W4CrVA, H13, X22CrMoV12-1, CuBe2, Inconel 718, Inconel 750, Nimonic 90.
Material selection is critical for cryogenic springs. HEGONG SPRING provides engineering support based on working temperature, load requirement, corrosion condition, medium and service life target.
| Material Option | Low Temperature Advantage | Suitable Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Inconel 718 Disc Springs | High strength, corrosion resistance and stable ductility at low temperature | LNG valves, aerospace systems, petrochemical equipment |
| Inconel X-750 / Inconel 750 Disc Springs | Good load stability under cryogenic and corrosive conditions | Cryogenic valve assemblies, pressure equipment, low-temperature bolting |
| Nimonic 90 Disc Springs | Strong mechanical stability in demanding environments | Special machinery, thermal cycling systems, energy equipment |
| CuBe2 Disc Springs | Good conductivity and corrosion resistance | Electrical equipment and special chemical environments |
| H13 / X22CrMoV12-1 | Selected for specific mechanical and temperature requirements | Custom low-temperature industrial applications |
| 30W4CrVA | Available for selected working conditions after engineering review | General custom disc spring applications |
For LNG, aerospace, petrochemical and cryogenic valve applications, Inconel disc springs are often recommended because they provide a strong balance of low-temperature performance, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
